Relative clauses

If you don’t know or can’t remember an exact word, don’t panic! You can explain it with a definition. For example, if you don’t know the word ‘scissors’, you could say, ‘It’s a thing that people use to cut paper’. We use relative clauses to give a description or a definition.

Complete the sentences with who, which, when, whose or where.
