sound WHAT IS SOUND?

Sound is the sensation that is produced in the brain when ears receive sound waves.
IN PHYSICS sound is always produced by something vibrating that produces sound waves.
Our ears pick these vibrations up and tell our brain what we can hear.

IN MUSIC the vibrations or sound waves are regular and they produced a pleasant feeling when we hear the sound.

Each MUSIC NOTE is a different sound.

Each sound is different depending on its FOUR QUALITIES:

PITCH

DURATION

INTENSITY

TIMBRE
