My Life

My name is Sandy Forest. I'm 14 and I live in Christchurch, New Zealand. I've got one brother and we live with my parents in my grandmother's house.

In the summer it's usually warm, so it's perfect weather for hiking across the country. My family love long hikes and we sometimes go away for a week. Our cousins enjoy coming with us, but sometimes they're too busy. We don't walk fast on our hikes because we often stop to look at the plants and animals and take photos. In the winter, we go skiing or we go snowboarding at Lake Wanaka. I snowboard better than everyone in my family!

I love being outdoors. I do something fun outdoors almost every weekend - in the summer and in the winter, too.

a. How old is Sandy and where does she live?

b. Who is in her family?

c. What summer activities does she do?

d. What winter activities does she do?

e. How does she feel about her activities?
