Hi mates. Art is one of my favourite thing in the world. I love it in all its forms, ways and expressions. If I have to choose some period, I prefer the contemporary. My favourite painter is Georgia O´Keeffe, known as the modernism mum in the USA. Her work is based on the expression of the light, and how it creates different figures. She painted flowers but also stunning New Mexico landscapes.
I don´t have any preferences in one or another form of art. I consider that all that surround us is art. It only depends in the sight that is seeing. Each period has it charm. Throughout the history of art, the art and artist figures were changing. In ancient times such as the greeks or even in the middle ages, art was a divine reflection. In modern times, a painting was art itself as an object and in the contemporary era, the contest in which the work is found is the main thing. That is why we cannot point to this type of art as childish. we have to take into account the author’s intentionality.
To sum up, as the Vienna Secession claimed "To every age its art. To art its freedom."
