Even if most people would love to do a solo trip, this kind of trips have several disadvantages. Truth must be told, a solo trip can be a life-changing experience but they also have a dark side.
First of all, sometimes you might feel a bit lonely and miss your partner, family or friends. You would be responsible of (for)making all the decissions and that could be stressfull. (only one "l"). Besides the loneliness, travelling alone might be a little risky too. Being in contact with someone close to you during your holidays is a good option. I mean, you're not supposed to be available all day, but sending a "proof of life" message at least once a day would be helpful. And last but not least, the increase in expenses is by far the most inconvinient point of them all. When travelling solo, you couldn't split the bills or benefit from group discounts, so the cost of a solo trip would be much higher than the cost of travelling in a group.
