Hypothesis

Definition :

Idea or possibility that we propose based on data and that has not yet been tested to be considered valid or true.

Example :

With the data we have, that hypothesis is not possible.

 

A draft consists of making a first draft so as not to forget any important information. Remember that you should write your work as if you were speaking. You cannot improvise when you are going to give the oral presentation.

Oral texts usually have a basic structure, follow these sections to prepare your draft.

1. Greeting and introduction

The first thing you will do is say hello and introduce yourself, clearly and slowly. 

You can use ready-made phrases such as:

Good morning, I am “So-and-so” and I am going to... (explain, speak, describe, comment)…

The introduction should be brief. 

Discuss what you are going to do and the topic of your presentation. 

Briefly explain what each section of your work is about.

Use ready-made phrases.

Example 1: In this exhibition we are going to deal with….

2 Introduction

An introduction should be brief. Comment on what you are going to do and what your presentation is about. Furthermore, if your work consists of several parts, it is advisable that you stop to briefly explain what will be seen in each section. 

To do this you can use phrases like:

In this work/exhibition/research we are going to... see/treat/discover...; First of all I will tell you about..., then we will see... and finally we will try...

3 Body

The development is the body of the exposition, the most extensive part where the topic is discussed. This section presents important information, essential characteristics and ideas, accompanied by some details and curiosities.

It is the largest and most important part of the exhibition.

At this point you must explain the entire topic of your work.

Start with the most important information.

Accompany your presentation with some details and curiosities.

4 Conclusion

In this section, you should briefly summarize the main ideas of the topic worked on and highlight the one that seems most important to you. You can also use the conclusion to express your opinion, raise hypotheses and new arguments.

To finish, concluding, as we have seen, in conclusion...

5 Closing and farewell

Finally, it is important to indicate that the exhibition is concluded. To do this, you will appreciate their attention and give them the opportunity to ask questions.
