Listening: Ambulance equipment
🔊 Listening Script "Ambulance Equipment"
“Before starting our shift, we always check the ambulance equipment. First, we make sure the oxygen tanks are full and the oxygen masks are clean and ready to use.
We also check the transport ventilator and the defibrillator monitor, as they are essential in life-threatening emergencies. The stethoscope, syringe pumps, and saline solution must be easily accessible.
In trauma cases, we prepare the scoop stretcher, vacuum mattress, extrication vest, and immobilisation straps. For hygiene and safety, we always carry HEPA masks, sterile gloves, bandages, and medical tape.
During the emergency, medications are taken from the ampule holder and administered carefully. After each service, we clean the equipment and restock everything for the next call.”
