🧩 Instructions

  1. Work in pairs.

  2. Student A starts the story with a sentence in Past Simple.

  3. Student B continues with a sentence in Present Perfect Simple.

  4. Keep alternating between the two tenses.

  5. Your story must include at least 8 sentences and should be connected to technology, computers or the Internet.

  6. Use time expressions correctly:

🕐 Past Simple: yesterday, last week, in 2010, when I was…
Present Perfect: ever, never, just, already, yet, since, for, recently, lately, so far

🧱 Example

👩‍💻 Student A: I bought my first computer when I was twelve.
👨‍💻 Student B: I’ve used computers every day since then.
👩‍💻 Student A: Last year, I installed a new operating system.
👨‍💻 Student B: I’ve already upgraded my software twice this month!

💡 Tips

  • Make your story fun and realistic.

  • Use connectors to make it flow: because, but, then, so, after that, since, recently…

  • You can write your story on paper, in a shared document, or in a Moodle forum.

  • When you finish, exchange your story with another pair and identify all the Past Simple and Present Perfect verbs.
