The objective of this course will be researching and learning about the most relevant events and processes of the Contemporary Age.
Adopting the perspective that history is a scientific discipline, we will try to analyse historical phenomena using the scientific method: looking for causal factors (antecedents) and consequences; always explaining the processes and escaping from anecdotes to create a well-founded knowledge and a comprehensive undertanding of the subject.
The aim of the subject cannot be merely the accumulation of data or dates, but rather an explanation of the past that allows us to better understand the present and thus prepare for the future.
