Monologue

Script

My parents are eighty-six years old. So they are very old, but they are very active and they go out a lot. They are from Piñón, a very small village in Ourense, but now they live in Vigo and they are retired. My mother has two sisters. Unfortunately, one of them is dead. The other is married and she has three children. My mother’s sister’s children are also married and they all have children. They all live in Vigo too. My father has only one brother. My father’s brother’s married and he has three children too. They don’t live in Vigo. They all live in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

My parents usually get up very early. They have a big healthy breakfast. They have fruit, yoghurt, toast, and mate for breakfast. They have a garden and they grow vegetables. So they spend a lot of time there. They have lunch very early, and after lunch, they usually take a nap. Then, they go to the retirement cultural club to play cards with their friends. When they come back, they have an early dinner. They watch television before they go to bed. Their favourite food is Spanish stew. Well, that's all.
