Seventh Assignment

Completion requirements
Opened: Sunday, 16 April 2017, 12:00 AM

For this assignment you are going to have three possible options to choose from.

(1) Linear perspective has been used by painters to create the effect of three dimensions on a two-dimensional surface. To understand how artists use this method, place some solid objects, such as books, on a table. Try to see where the horizon line and vanishing points lie and make a simple drawing of the objects in perspective. (2) Alternatively, instead of drawing the objects, choose the reproduction of a landscape or a still life and mark the horizon line and vanishing points where the artist has painted/drawn them. (3) Choose a work of art with a strong linear perspective, such as The Scream by Edvard Munch, and alter its spatial effect by eliminating or changing that linear perspective to observe how its meaning changes.

Once you’ve chosen one option and performed the task, scan the page with the resulting image and insert it in a LibreOffice Write document with the title "Seventh Assignment: Space". Below the image, write an English paragraph with some of your ideas and feelings about the influence of perspective on representation and its impact on viewers. Finally, save the document as an .odt file to have the original re-workable one, and as a pdf file to upload here by pressing the "submit button".
