Second Assignment

As colours, even more than lines, make a direct appeal to emotions and have come to be associated with various feelings, for this second assignment select two to four of your favourite colours and paint them on a sheet of paper using any material or medium. Then, scan the painting as an image and insert the image in a LibreOffice Write document with the title "Second Assignment: Colour". Below the image first describe the colours in terms of their technical characteristics (hue or colour itself, value or tone, saturation or intensity, and harmonic contrast or analogy), and then, the effects your colours produce in terms of emotions, e.g. joy, sorrow, tension, confusion, etc. in an English complete coherent paragraph. Finally, save the document as an .odt file to have the original re-workable one, and as a pdf file to upload here by pressing the "submit button".

Grading rubric for this assignment:

100 points: The submitted work is excellent. It shows that directions have been thoroughly understood and followed. The assignment is neat and completed by the due date.

70-90 points: The submitted work is very good, but it does not show thorough care in its execution.

40-60 points: The submitted work indicates a good attempt to grasp the directions, but it is partially complete and shows little care in its execution.

0-30 points: The submitted work provides little indication of comprehending or paying attention to instructions.
