The fifth element of art is texture, which is primarily related to the sense of touch, although obviously sight is also involved in its appreciation.

Roadmap: First, a video will define this fifth art element with vocabulary and useful expressions, and at the same time, it will activate some basic ideas about it by means of art images. Second, we will optionally further our familiarity with a summary of the chapter on texture by Chinese artist and poet Wucius Wong taken from his 1972 book Fundamentals of Two-Dimensional Design, supplemented by two other extracts from the books Art in the World (1993) by Stella Pandell Russell and Art Class (2002). Third, we will have two other optional activities: a graded quiz and an assignment to upload. Finally, the most important part of the study of this topic is to share ideas and impressions with fellow-participants on the module forum.
