Here you will find the extra material we see in class, and some activities to have extra practice. The outcome of this task will be a pdf file with an email inviting a friend to your hometown and offering accommodation at your home. The complete instructions are going to be available at the task.

Context
Write an email inviting a friend to come to Vigo or your hometown. She or he doesn’t know the town, so describe some tourist attractions to him or her and some possible activities. You also have to describe your house a little because you want to offer her or him accommodation at your home. Include the following points in your email:
- Describe some tourist attractions in Vigo or your hometown (there’s/there are).
- Tell her or him what she or he can or can’t do in Vigo or your hometown (can/can’t).
- Describe your house (there’s/there are).
- Invite him or her (would you like to come?).
- State specific dates for her or him to come to Vigo or your hometown (dates).
Instructions for the task
- Write between 100 and 120 words and write the number of words on your page.
- Include all the points and pay attention to the language items between brackets to include them in your email.
- Write all the points in the most appropriate organization, not necessarily in the order they appear here.
- Don’t forget to organize your information in coherent paragraphs. Don’t write isolated sentences.
- Remember to use the standard format for informal emails and to include appropriate opening and closing salutations.
- You’ll have until Friday 13 May to submit the task. After that date, submissions won’t be accepted.
