Completion requirements
- Warm up - Speaking - Truth be told...: Did you somehow manage to wind down this weekend? Tell us and jot down the level expressions you can actually make use of to raise your level.
- Level stuff so far would mean using:
- manage to + INF
- succeed in + -ing
- be able to + INF
- have difficulty + -ing
- spend + x time + -ing.
- etc
- Now talk about what you normally do to wind down and put your feet up when you are stressed out or shattered. Time now to use turn-taking techniques that would make you sound more natural and polite, namely:
- Echo questions - Aux + S?
- How + adj! or How + adj + of so + to do sth!
- What + (a/an) + adj + noun!
- You must be joking/kidding/teasing me/pulling my leg.
- You can't be serious.
- I can't believe my eyes/ears.
- Agreeing:
- + sentences: So + aux + S!
- - sentences: Neither + aux + S!
- Disagreeing
- Listen to the audio and jot down what the figures below refer to:

- Speaking: Pose the questions below to your classmate embedding them in another sentence, i.e. by using indirect questions. You can use: "Would you mind telling us "this"? or I'd also like you to tell us "this".

- Agreeing or disagreeing: Some people argue "Blood is thicker than water". Where do you stand on this?
