Coordinator

Supervise all team following the planning and organization designed in pre-production:

  • Recording order: the first instrument that will serve as guide for the next instruments.
  • Monitoring control room through the speakers.
  • Quality control of each track: oversee the interpretation in every track.
  • Require silence in the room during recordings.
  • Convey enthusiasm and excitement to the team in each recorded track.
  • Follow the sound technicians instructions and suggestions .

Musicians & singers

  • Have each song well rehearsed and control every part
  • Warm up and tune voices and instruments
  • Follow the planning, organization and technical team indications.
  • Patience: sometimes will have to repeat the same track, until you remain satisfied with the result
  • Emotion in the interpretation of each track that is recording

Boom operator

  • Interconnect devices with sound mixer
  • Assign each instrument and voice the most ideal microphone and a track
  • Check that the microphones, connectors and wiring work properly
  • Follow the sound technicians indications

Sound technician 1

Work with computer & DAW: AUDACITY

  • Study the DAW.
  • Configure the software for recording: Edit Preferences
  • Recording each instrument and voice
  • Recording with effects: reverb track separate to mix later.
  • Export each track to .wav audio format
  • Follow the coordinator instructions

Sound technician 2

Work with SOUND MIXER:

  • Study the basic operation of the sound mixer.
  • Check that each device is properly connected to the mixer.
  • Control volumes and effects on each track from the headphones.
  • Follow the coordinator and sound technician 1 instructions

Sound technician 3

Work with DIGITAL RECORDER:

  • Study the basic operation of the digital recorder.
  • Make recordings to support main recording made from the DAW
  • Record each track (instruments and voices)
  • Making group recordings
  • Control volumes on each track from the headphones.
  • Follow the coordinator indications
